Improving crisis communication skills in the emergency management

Health C is a two year european project which went underway in October 2012 aiming at the support of the Health Institution personnel in the development of the necessary skills for the control of the communication aspects in emergency situations caused by a health crisis in a transnational context.

The project will structure and develop a training programme on the theme of communication in emergency situation to put to the test with the managers and or representatives of the health institutions, paying attention to the communication strategies to adopt when transmitting information to the population and to the media. The training programme will furthermore make an in depth study of the new channels of communication ) social networks, blogs, web portals, mobile phone applications) can become a precious instrument in emergency situations.
